In the line of work I am in I constantly am amazed by the kindness strangers bestow on others. When local businesses find out about us "Teddy Bear Cancer Foundation" through community resources I am overjoyed. We live in such a wonderful community and are so lucky to have such great resources such as SBParent.com. I don't always share when things like this happen but it was so sweet I could not resist.

My name is Nikki Katz and I am the Program Director/Founder of the Teddy Bear Cancer Foundation. Yesterday I received a phone call from Sweet Buttercup Cupcakes and Cookies, a new and local business in town. The owner had been looking at the SBParent.com website and came across a posting for our 4th Annual Spring Fling. They were so moved by what we do that they wanted to get involved. They asked if they could make cupcakes for our event having no idea at all how many I was going to say would be attending. They just wanted to give back and be involved. Usually it is us who approach businesses asking for assistance, support and donations. It was so wonderfully refreshing to have someone ask us 1st, especially after finding us through SBParent.com which we use so regularly.

Color Me Mine

I am happy to have found such a great resource as SBParent.com  Not only do I receive reciprocal, beneficial, and meaningful feedback on how, where and when to list the services offered by my business, but I find that web traffic to my site is greater than through any other form of advertising or resource (not to mention the number of pages viewed!).  Hands down this is money well spent.  I recommend SBParent.com to any business wishing to raise community awareness as to their brand identity, and increase traffic towards utilizing services or visiting their store front.

I just wanted to say thank you for the wonderful announcement of the SBCEO Portal in your SBParent.com newsletter. It's terrific! I think that with your help, this will turn into a good opportunity to make our resources available to parents and students in our community. Good news. I just got word from the program director for the Parent Education classes here at Adult Ed that the classes are filling up, and according to one of the instructors, our ad in the sbparent.com e-newsletter has a lot to do with it.

PAXbaby

The Opening went great!!! Not too many people, and not too few!!! Quite a few NEW moms that I had never met that had heard about PAXbaby & the event through SBparent or Mamatoto or PEP or the emails that I sent out!!! And Kathryn who was doing the ceramics did REALLY well! It went so swimmingly that I'm going to plan an "Open House" kind of thing for March/ April and do it again!!!!

The Putnee Theatre

I've been extremely happy with the results I've gotten from SBParent.com. I've only listed my name and number but people call me every week to ask about The Putnee Theatre and my musical play groups.

 

Rachael and Julie have gone way beyond providing a spot on their website for me. Rachael is a regular mom who had me entertain at her daughter's birthday party. She also makes sure I'm included as one of the entertainers in annual "Mom's In Motion" 5k event.

 

Julie has helped me with marketing outside the realm of SBParent.com. She has taken the time to email me with the names of parent groups and upcoming events she thought might be helpful to my business. I was impressed and pleased!

PEP, Postpartum Education For Parents

Congratulations on your Small Business Award!! That is such a tremendous honor and you (Julie) and Rachel both deserve it with all the work you have done. I cant believe where the website is now from when I started using it 3 years ago!

 

I wanted to let you know that I will be stepping down as Chair of PEP and officially passing the position. We are moving to Boulder, CO.

 

I have been researching Boulder for preschools and other things (as I am a stay-at-home mom that needs to find things for her kids to do.) I couldn't believe how little I could find. There was absolutely NO parent resources for that area. All I keep hearing is that Boulder and the surrounding areas are so family orientated yet it was almost impossible to find the information I needed. I never realized how lucky I was to live in a community that had SBParent.com.

I wanted to write a brief letter telling you how much SB parent has helped grow my business in the last few months. I began advertising with SB Parent in November of last year a couple of months before opening The Learningden Preschool. I am not the kind of person who advertises very often and I was quite nervous about what to expect. Julie was amazing, she met with me when it was convenient due to my busy work schedule and she made me feel comfortable with all aspects of what SB parent has to offer. Being a cautious individual I signed up for 6 ads as well as the listing on the site. I could not be more amazed about the response almost immediately. Within 24 hours of posting my business on the site I began receiving calls. Julie has been so wonderful and has put up with many changes to my ad that I have had to make. Whenever things needed to be changed Julie would return my phone calls and e-mail promptly, and changes were often made with in 24hours. I opened the Learningden Preschool on January 3^rd and I have had almost 80% of my referrals come from SBparent.com.
