Arts at Laguna is a power-packed program designed to provide campers with an engaging and affirming experience in the visual and performing arts. There are four one-week sessions and each session is organized around a different theme. Campers may attend just one week or all four. Regardless, our goal is for campers to have the time of their life as they build their sense of artistic-self, as well as their self-esteem in general. We describe ourselves as the Arts at Laguna Family as we consciously teach, model, and practice how to coexist in a respectful, safe, loving, and supportive community. We have counselors and faculty members in their 20s that joined the Arts at Laguna Family as campers at age 5 and haven't missed a summer since!
All ability levels are welcome to join instructor and Santa Barbara Masters Champion Jon Lee at East Beach for a morning immersion in beach volleyball. Players are introduced to doubles and six-person team play and are coached on correct ball handling, passing, setting and hitting. Learn why team strategy and understanding technique are a big part of the game. This class will challenge your child's endurance!

The Boxtales Circus Theatre Training is designed for past campers and anyone who is dedicated to: Acting, Acrobatics, Physical Comedy and interested in taking their performing art to the next level. This intensive will develop a movement vocabulary to use to tell any story with the body, performance skills, strength training and partner balancing and acrobatics.

"Encounter" is an original stage production engaging young people in the process of creating theatre magic. The production will feature dynamic music, dance, innovative movement, magical special effects and interactive video elements. "Encounter" is directed by a talented team of artists with over 75 years of
combined professional theatre, movement and music experience. Peter McCorkle, formerly of Laguna Blanca School; and Matt Tavianini from Boxtales will co-direct this cutting-edge, multi-media production at the beautiful, historic Marjorie Luke Theatre in July of 2010. Award-winning composer Michael Mortilla will create the soundscape integrating classic and contemporary music.
You don't have to sing and you don't have to be a dancer - just be someone who is looking to have an amazing time exploring and expanding your talents and being a part of creating a brand new piece of exciting theatre. If you are ready to embark on an intensive summer arts experience that enables you to put your "signature" on a new, original work of theatre, instead of another production of a double-cast show you've seen five times before, then sign up now before this opportunity is filled to capacity.
