Jon Lee, recently-retired, renowned local volleyball coach, has created a new beach volleyball clinic targeting high school-aged male and female players with advanced skills. Jon Lee, along with guest AVP level players, keeps the focus of this clinic on tournament level doubles and competition strategy, skills and training. Daily competitions and match play games with Coach Lee providing evaluation and feedback. Limited to 16 participants with advanced beach volleyball skills.

Looking for a summer of water fun? Aquacamp is filled with exciting adventures including water safety instruction, tide pool and marine life discovery, water games, boogie boarding, fishing and arts and crafts. Five 2-week sessions, Mon-Fri, 9am-4pm.

Arts at Laguna is a power-packed program designed to provide campers with an engaging and affirming experience in the visual and performing arts. There are four one-week sessions and each session is organized around a different theme. Campers may attend just one week or all four. Regardless, our goal is for campers to have the time of their life as they build their sense of artistic-self, as well as their self-esteem in general. We describe ourselves as the Arts at Laguna Family as we consciously teach, model, and practice how to coexist in a respectful, safe, loving, and supportive community. We have counselors and faculty members in their 20s that joined the Arts at Laguna Family as campers at age 5 and haven't missed a summer since!
All ability levels are welcome to join instructor and Santa Barbara Masters Champion Jon Lee at East Beach for a morning immersion in beach volleyball. Players are introduced to doubles and six-person team play and are coached on correct ball handling, passing, setting and hitting. Learn why team strategy and understanding technique are a big part of the game. This class will challenge your child's endurance!

Campers enjoy rustic living without the distractions of TV, computers, and telephones in a beautiful lakeside setting. Since 1933, campers and staff have returned year after year because of the feeling of tradition, community, and belonging that they experience. Nightly campfires and over twenty non-competitive activities highlight our group-based, outdoor program. Charter bus service to and from Gold Arrow Camp is available from Santa Clarita.
Enjoy the experience and challenges of kayaking; outrigger team paddling and standup paddle boarding taught through professional coaching and supervision. The clinic includes paddling techniques, canoe and water safety, team competition, harbor paddling tours, swimming and ama-surfing. An award ceremony occurs the last day of each clinic. Learn basic and advanced techniques of soccer and compete in an age-appropriate "world cup" tournament. Dribbling, passing, receiving and shooting are presented to 8 year old and younger players; advanced dribbling moves, tactical team aspects (i.e. possession, combination play), and attacking the goal as a unit are taught to players 9 years and above. This intensive Phonics Camp will focus on the reading skills necessary for students in the primary grades. Campers will review vowels, consonants, blends, and all necessary skills for decoding words. They will learn to recognize and use all phonics specials sounds in reading and in spelling. Students will practice their oral reading and learn the rules for basic grammar through creative writing. Campers will enjoy fun games and group interaction. All materials and snacks are included.
This workshop is designed for kids who like to dress up and put on performances! The kids will be creating their own "fairytale" made up from the imagination of the collective group. Creative Movement and music will be incorporated into the piece. Kids will be creating costumes and props! A showcase of their work will be featured on the final Friday of the workshop.
Through movies, songs, and guest visits, the Safety Town program trains children to evaluate "safe" from "unsafe." Under the guidance of volunteer youth instructors and credentialed teachers, children practice and experience their lessons in Safety Town, a miniature city layout built to the scale of a small child.
Topics: Pedestrian, earthquake, fire, 9-1-1, bicycle, beach and pool, drugs, strangers, general play, along with personal and home safety.
Visits by police, firefighters, forest rangers, paramedics, water safety professionals, and more. One off-site field trip, (ride on city bus reserved for Safety Towners only)
Format: 17.5 hour course, (3.5 hours per day, M-F, for 1 week)
Fee includes a Safety Town T-shirt to be worn daily.

Create drawings and sculptures in 2 and 3 dimensions - tessellations, unit origami, fractals, etc. In the process, we'll explore the mathematical ideas behind them: angles, 3-D geometry, topology, symmetry, number bases, infinity, etc. We'll also examine some works of mathematical artists, such as M.C. Escher & Leonardo da Vinci. Campers should be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers and fractions. More advanced students will be exposed to more advanced mathematical ideas.
Part 2 is not more advanced; it contains different topics and different aspects of the same topics.
If you enjoy sports and the beach join this great summer camp! Ultimate Frisbee, basketball, beach volleyball, USTA tennis instruction, flag football, soccer, BULLSEYE! Archery, whiffleball, baseball, dodgeball, kickball, boogie boarding, fishing, and swimming are just some of the activities. One field trip included in each camp! Ventura WILD is a wilderness discovery program connecting children to nature in Ventura and Ojai. We are bringing children into local wilderness settings as a way to rekindle a deep sense of belonging and awareness of life and living. All children deserve a chance to experience the wonder and joy of playful discovery and to build a sense of security and confidence in nature. We strive to provide space and time for each child's unique gifts and interests to blossom through shared adventure, skill development and stories. Our goal is to build connections among each other and the natural environment, celebrating a hopeful and healthy life for generations to come.
