I am a parent trying to get a few others to join me to make a semi-private group for Mommy (or Daddy) & Me swim lessons.  I need at least three other parents to enroll their children (under 3 years old) in a semi-private group swimming lesson at Carpinteria Pool. The class is for children that are new to swim lessons. Primary focus is on blowing bubbles, assisted floating and arm and leg movement. The cost is $72 for ten 30-minute lessons. If you're interested, please call Kelly at (805) 901-6452.

Just wanted to let you all know that the new Dr. Seuss movie Horton Hears a Who has several bad words in it, even if it is rated G. Nothing terrible, but things that I do not want my three year old repeating (shut up, stupid, idiot, & boob)

Hi, I am looking for other moms that run in Carpinteria. I would like to find others that could run in the early morning (5:00 am) or evening (7:00 PM) during the week. The pace would be 9-11 min/mile and I would like to get in 5-6 miles a day. Anyone interested?

I found a STROLLER on the freeway last night. I sense after travel-one parent thought the other secured it to the roof of the car/suv and if flew off during transit.  There was 1/2 of a Dubai sticker on it.  Do you know anyone who lost a stroller in an odd way?  I put an ad on
Craigslist in the lost and found section but no response. Someone must certainly be missing it by now!

Hello,
I am trying to find a preschool for my three year old son, but am having no luck! All the schools that I have found are either way too expensive, or have a two year waiting list!! I would really REALLY like something in the San Marcos/Turnpike area, but am willing to travel if needed. Thank you!!!

We are moving to Santa Barbara for a year beginning this summer. I would love to find a preschool for my 2 daughters (ages 4 and 2). It would be great if they could go to the same school but 2 different schools would be OK too.

We'll need part-time care and are totally flexible about times and location. Can anyone recommend a specific school? Also, how is the preschool "climate" in SB? Here in Chapel Hill, it's almost impossible to find a preschool spot so I'm thinking it's going to be difficult to make this happen there as well.

Thanks in advance!!

I'm looking for recommendations for local daycare. I prefer Santa Barbara but Goleta would work as well. My son is currently 3.5 weeks old and I plan on going back to work when he's 2 months old. Thanks in advance!

I have a 3 1/2 year old daughter who wants to either enter a dance class or soccer. However, all my research I haven't found any age appropriate activities to sign her up for that would be after work (I work until 5:30) or Saturday classes. So I turn to you for help. If you know any classes for dancing or soccer please let me know. Thank you!!

Hello,  I'm due in a couple of weeks and am wondering if there are any good, not expensive photography studios in Santa Barbara/Goleta for newborn/infant pictures? I know Sears and K-Mart have photo studios but are they any good?

My ex and I went through a pretty bad divorce and rarely talk.  I tried to talk to her about my daughter one day and was asked about my sons grades.  He showed me his grade card and not her.  He had an f on it.  When he went back for the week she grounded him and he hasn't been over for two weeks.  My daughter called and asked for a ride to the local mall, so I took her.  Two hours later I get a phone call to come and get her.  She was in the security office with a friend and had gotten caught trying to steal.  She used my information and was very upset with this friend.  I know she is not the kind to do this but yet she did anyway.  I need to know if I should tell the mother or leave it to her to tell her on her own.  She has custodial and all however was out for her anniversary when this all took place.  I'm at a loss as to what to do and if I tell her she'll keep them from me, do I just pay my daughter's ticket and keep it quiet and hope she doesn't find out?  Push my daughter to tell her?  I know she tells them that they don't have to tell me certain things unless they feel they want to.
