Our BACK TO SCHOOL GUIDE comes out on Wednesday. Make sure you are included in it so you do not miss out on reaching more than 7,600 families. SBParent.com is going to be very proactive with helping you get your name in front of parents...

  • Your listing will also be included in the Daily Sound back to school guide.

  • e-NEWSLETTER: Our Back to School emailed newsletter is an ad-only newsletter (no articles) that gets emailed out twice (August 12 and September 7). There are 2 ad sizes available. View last year's issue >>
  • PRINTABLE GUIDE: SBParent.com will also create a printable Back to School Guide. This guide will be distributed around town AND available online for parents to view and print from their computers. All after school programs, private schools, tutors, preschools, and sports programs that have a current business listing on SBParent.com will have their business name and phone number appear in the guide free of charge.
  • RESERVE SPACE: If you are interested in having an ad in either the e-Newsletter, please email info@sbparent.com to reserve a spot since space is limited. (Deadline is extended to Aug. 11) This is also a great issue to promote Fall events.

Day of Caring - September 19

  • What is DAY OF CARING? Teams of volunteers from schools, churches, fraternities, sororities, families and workplaces will come from across the county and fill up the Page Youth Center for an energizing kick-off breakfast!

    Over 1,000 enthusiastic volunteers will then embark to their worksites across Goleta, Santa Barbara, Carpinteria and Santa Ynez to complete projects of painting, gardening, sorting goods and even building adobe bricks!

Cottage Health System Family Fitness & Baby Fair - September 19

  • Saturday, September 19, 2009 - 10am to 2pm Oak Park, SB.  We are combining two community events - the annual Baby Fair and annual Family Fitness Fair - into one healthy family extravaganza. Exhibitors are invited to showcase their products/services for families, families-to-be, children, and newborns that promote people being healthy for life. Last year's 23rd annual Baby Fair drew more than 1,000 people and we anticipate a large turnout this year since it is a free day of family fun. For Fair attendees - admission, raffle prize entry, arts & crafts, face painting, jumpers, clowns, and entertainment - are free! For more information, contact Dana at 805-879-8992 or dgoba@sbch.org.

NEW EVENT: SB International Marathon - Sunday, December 6

  • The inaugural Select Staffing SB International Marathon will take place at SB City College.  In addition to the marathon, there will also be kids races and a children's festival.  Table space in Children's Activity area is available ($200).  The first four SBParent.com businesses to email sbimarathon@cox.net will receive a FREE table space (business/non-profit to provide activity).
